Former Prime Minister Liz Truss discussed her plan to launch an alternative, pro-free speech social media platform at a Bitcoin conference named ‘Saving the West’ over the weekend, after criticising the establishment for ousting her from power.

Truss has previously outlined her intention to create a new social media network, pledging to challenge a “deep state” that she claims the “legacy media” fails to scrutinise, though she had not previously specified a timeline for its announcement. Now, it has been confirmed that Britain is just months away from seeing a platform akin to Donald Trump’s Truth Social.
“We are planning to launch it in the summer of this year, and there will be more news about it fairly soon, but I can’t say anymore at this stage,” she told a crowd of attendees who paid between £250 and £1,000 to hear her speak in what she called “the home of free speech” in Bedford.
She said: “I want to see a massive change in Britain. I became an MP in 2010 because I wanted to see the country change. Because I’m a patriot and want to see Britain do well. I hated the decline and the acceptance of decline.”
