The suspect in the Southport stabbing attack has been identified as Axel Rudakubana. The 17-year-old, soon to turn 18, faces charges for the horrific murder of three young girls and injuring 10 others during a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport with a 'curved kitchen knife'.

Born to Rwandan parents in Cardiff, Rudakubana later moved to Banks, Lancashire. He is accused of killing Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine, and attempting to murder eight more children, dance teacher Leanne Lucas, 35, and businessman John Hayes.
Rudakubana's identity was previously protected due to his age but was revealed following a successful application by the Mail. Meanwhile, two injured children have been discharged from Alder Hey Children's Hospital, with five others in stable condition.
