The UK government is set to publish a comprehensive league table detailing foreign nationals convicted of serious crimes who are awaiting deportation. This initiative aims to inform the public about individuals who, despite committing grave offences, remain within the country due to legal barriers preventing their removal.

The decision comes a year after Tory MP Robert Jenrick tabled an amendment to publish the nationality data on criminals.
The forthcoming "league table" will categorise offenders based on their crimes, including violent assaults, sexual offences, and drug trafficking. By making this information accessible, Labour hopes to address public concerns about foreign criminals evading deportation, exposing faults with our immigration judges.
This measure will reinforce the UK's immigration policies and ensure that the justice system effectively protects its citizens. By highlighting these cases, the Labour government seeks to prompt necessary legal reforms and expedite the deportation process for those who pose a threat to public safety.
