After independent MP Rupert Lowe raised over £500,000 for an inquiry into the Pakistani Rape Gang scandal, multiple MPs have reached out to the former Reform UK MP to privately congratulate him, Mr Lowe confirms.

Citing his reason for the fundraiser, Rupert Lowe said, "The mass rape of working class white girls by mainly Pakistani men is a rotting stain on our country’s history. This inquiry will not be able to fully deliver justice, but it can shine a light on the horror, and open people's eyes to the vast scale of the vile abuse and exploitation."
In January, Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK, told LBC that Reform would hold an inquiry themselves into the Pakistani rape gangs after a government coverup. However, Nigel has since backtracked on these promises, stating, "There is no point in launching a grooming gangs inquiry without statuary powers."
In his reveal post on X, Rupert Lowe acknowledged this U-turn from Reform UK, saying,
"Promises were made by my former party about holding an inquiry, and those promises were not kept."
Noting a deafening silence from other politicians on the fundraiser's success, when asked by The Mercian if any MPs had congratulated Rupert Lowe privately, he responded, "Privately, many."

This begs further questions. Why are MPs embarrassed about acknowledging the importance of this inquiry publicly? How many MPs support Rupert and his political ideology? Does Mr Lowe potentially have more friends in parliament than we're lead to believe?
