A 35-year-old British man, identifying as a transgender woman, allegedly attempted to rape a 20-year-old female compatriot in the toilets of a tourist bar in Rhodes. This horrific crime is not only an act of violence but also a stark reminder of the media’s dangerous promotion of falsehoods regarding gender identity.

The alleged attacker, aged 35, reportedly followed a 20-year-old woman into the toilets of a bar in Ialysos around 1:30am on July 14, according to various local media sources.
The younger woman, who reported the incident to local police that night, claimed that the older "trans-woman" approached her, subdued her, and attempted to force herself onto her.
The mainstream media’s insistence on referring to the perpetrator, a biological male, as a woman is not only misleading but also perilously distorts reality. By continuing to promote the ideology that “trans women are women,” the media is complicit in a lie that endangers women’s safety and undermines the importance of biological distinctions, particularly in spaces meant to protect vulnerable individuals.
The case in Rhodes is a stark reminder of why the truth matters. Biological men in women’s spaces pose a real threat, and the media’s refusal to acknowledge this is deeply troubling. By continually promoting the notion that trans women are indistinguishable from biological women, the media is failing in its duty to protect the public and inform truthfully.
This issue goes beyond one incident. It speaks to a broader societal problem where political correctness and ideological conformity are prioritised over facts and safety. The media’s complicity in spreading this narrative must be called out and challenged. The safety of women and the integrity of factual reporting depend on it. It is high time that the media stops promoting lies and starts addressing the real dangers posed by ignoring biological realities.
